Field Day 2022

Field Day is approaching. As ARRL says:

Field Day is ham radio's open house. Every June, more than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio's science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio.

The AARC is in the process of planning Field Day 2022 to be conducted at the Davidsonville Family Recreation Center on the weekend of June 24-26.

We will be conducting setup on Friday the 24th and hope to run all day beginning at 2 pm Saturday through Sunday. Usually we wrap up a little earlier than the announced closing time, but who knows?

Members, please consider volunteering for the event not only as an operator but also to help with coordination, assisting new hams, food prep and whatever background activities that may need help (including being an operator, of course).
