Rosaryville Veteran's Day 50K

Veteran's Day 50K Countdown to November 9, 2024

The Rosaryville Veteran's Day 50K is a long run, held November 11th, 2023 through the trails and meadows of the Rosaryville State Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.  This event is a long one, but, it has an 8 hour time limit, and time limits for leaving Aid Stations #1 and #2 in the third lap.  This means that volunteers will be required for the full 8 hours.  This is one of the few events where the AARC will accept volunteers for either first or second half of the event.  Entrants are limited to 200 total.  Due to the fact that this race is partially down wooded trails, headphones, pets, etc. are not allowed due to safety concerns.  This is a 31 mile race, or at least 5 miles longer than a full marathon.

Runners will make three loops around a 9.8 mile perimeter trail that is mostly deep woods, thought there are some meadows as well.  The course is largely single track, so passing can take some planning.  The race starts and ends at the Pavilion picnic area about 3 miles from where runners enter (and exit) the perimeter trail.
