Come and find out about HSMM-Mesh. We'll help you get into the microwave range of ham radio.
Radio Amateurs have frequency allocations in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands that co-inside with the regular WiFi bands. So, we re-format old LinkSys & Ubiquiti WiFi routers to the Broadband-Hamnet format.
Some of the projects we are currently doing with the equipment is supplying live video using a cellphone camera connected to a LinkSys Router. We have used this set up at the Annapolis 10-Mile Run showing runners on the course transmitted back to the start/finish line for the run organizers viewing.
We now have both 2.4 & 5 GHz repeaters up on the short tower at the clubhouse for testing and coverage plotting. Hopefully later we will move them up to the tall tower for better coverage.
