Anyone have any Ham Radio related New Year's resolutions?
Forums:
If you've got anything you want to share with the public, post it here. Mine:
1. Build twelve "things" that require a soldering iron. A electronic circuit, an antenna, a low-pass filter, a "tiger tail" for my HT, something beyond a repair job or a prefab "stuff and solder" kit. The idea is at least one thing per month of 2017, and that ought to be easy to achieve.
2. Give at least one AARC presentation at a meeting. Yea, this was on last year's list, (sorry Wayne.) This year for sure, (and make sure the presentation does not require a live internet connection.)
3. Actually become an official PG-ARES member this year. Jim have been waiting for my membership application for a while now.
Transceiver to Transceiver Testing
In 2017 I plan to do some basic sensitivity and RF/IF passband selectivity bench tests on my HF transceiver's receiver using another HF transceiver's transmitter and receiver as a synthesized signal source and reference receiver. However, I already have an excuse for not getting it done if I can't find a good used transceiver to buy for the testing. Bob Weber, WA2MQK
