On a yearly basis the Anne Arundel Radio Club and its members assist with communications for a number of events sponsored by The Annapolis Striders. ln the past these have included The B&A Trail Marathon & Half Marathon, The Rosaryville Trail Run, The Endless Summer 6-Mile Run, The Cherry Pit 10 Mile, The Annapolis 10 Mile Run, The Metric Marathon, The Rosaryville Veterans Day 50K and The Cold Turkey 10K. Many volunteer hams are placed at water stops, shadow the race director, staff the network control center, and monitor the crucial turns of the course and first aid stations.
