Sunday during Open Shack we temporarily lost electric power. When the power came back on we realized that we had lost water pressure and effectively then had no water. After checking with other tenants we learned that we were not alone with the water problem. We were unable to get into the pump building to check the circuit breaker because even though we have the combo for the lock, the keyed door was locked.
I contacted Milly of DFRC and informed her of the situation and requested that she contact the county to resolve the problem. She informed me today that Allison from county Park & Recs came out today and also was unable to gain entrance to the pump house.
I went to the Club House this afternoon to verify that we are still without water and considering the late hour, I do not expect that everything will be fixed before tomorrow morning in time for our Wrecking Crew activities and I have emailed the Wrecking Crew folks to tell them we are canceled for tomorrow.
With an abundance of caution I recommend that we keep in mind that unless the county fixes the problem soon we may have to look at cancelling Open Shack & Kit Building next Sunday.
In as much as we know that Ford Hall and the Boy Scout buildings are also affected, I would expect that the county will give this fix a priority.
I expect that I will be checking with DFRC and with myself on site daily to determine if the water is finally back on and I will keep all of you up to date via email.
