Homemade Soup and Bread QSO Party

Greetings...

On Jan 17, AARC Jr. (KI3DS) will participate in the winter phone version of the North American QSO Party at the AARC Clubhouse from 1:00 pm (17 Jan) until 1:00 am (18 Jan).

This is another great training opportunity in preparation for Field Day, especially for Technician and new General class licensees. C'mon over to the clubhouse and play on the radio. Everyone is welcome!

1. Third-Party issues are minimized.
2. The contest lasts only 12 hours
3. The exchange is simple: Name and State.
4. One Team with two transmitters

Sweepstakes Picnic and Contest are History

The first annual(?) Sweepstakes Picnic was a modest success with approximately 20 club members participating despite the Tornado watch, high winds and rain. From 3pm on Saturday thru 3pm on Sunday, approximately 30 folks stopped by the clubhouse. Most of them enjoyed a repast of hmburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, cole slaw, etc. and in the morning Bob(AA3RR) made pancakes.
