When uploading a photo it should be given it a meaningful title and optionally you can make additional descriptive text appear in a smaller font under the photo.
To make this happen the subject line of the email message that uploads the photo becomes the photo title and any text in the body of the message will appear as additional text.
This photo http://www.flickr.com/photos/22573993@N08/2457834291/ is an example where I did this. The title "Complete 20M PSK-31 station" was my email subject line and the additional text below the photo, "Small wonder Labs - PSK-20" and "NUE-PSK - Digital Modem" were two consecutive but separate lines in the email body.
I suspect that uploading a photo with no subject results in situations a weird system assigned serial number becomes the title of the photo. We have a couple of photos that are like this.

We can upload photos?
I did not know anyone but the sysops could upload photos. I see the upload section but that seems to refer to projects. Can you fill me in?

uploading photos
With the upcoming events (Hamvention and Field Day) I suspect alot of pictures will be made available for the website. If you are interested in adding your AARC related photos, please email me. I will give you the email address and instructions on how to attach the photos. I don't want to give the address out in this forum, since the possibility of abuse will then exist. Last thing we want is a "Non AARC" related photo to appear :-)
Email me at k3bay@w3vpr.org
Thanks,
Steve

That's pretty much what I thought. I like your plan to give out instructions in an e-mail. That way memebers are free to upload without publishing the instructions.
I often simpy post a link to where I have the photo stored, particularily if it is off topic, say astronomy or Jeep stuff I want to share.
Tom does have a good point. Photos should have meaningful filenames and good descriptions. It makes storing, using, and understanding them much easier.
