Amateur Radio License Courses. Our licensing courses are conducted on Saturdays from 9:00am until Noon and are offered at no charge. You will have to purchase the appropriate American Radio Relay League (ARRL) license manual. The Technician and General class license manuals cost $25.00 plus shipping and handling from the ARRL. However, if you purchase the license manual through us, you’ll save about 20%. At the conclusion of the licensing course, our Volunteer Examiners will be available to administer the appropriate license exam to so you can earn your Technician or General class license. The license exams are also free. We normally administer amateur radio licensing exams on the 2nd Saturday of every month. Registration takes place from Noon until 1:00pm. Exams start at or shortly after 1:00pm.

Morse Code Training:

We also offer an annual Morse code class that will prepare you to be able to operate one of our Morse code stations during Field Day (Always the last full weekend in June). Morse code training will be conducted on Saturdays from Noon until 1:00pm. You will learn 43 Morse characters, copy characters at 5 or more WPM and learn to transmit the characters you’ll need for Field Day. The “final exam” will take place during Field Day when you make 5 or more contacts using your Morse skills. We’ll have people available to assist and encourage you. You’ll have fun!
